I made a game that lets you walk on proteins. It’s called Atomica—a calm, science-infused walking-sim built from real molecular data, the protein 1erm from the PDB. It’s free and very early, and I’d love your help shaping where it goes next.
Play now:
 • Steam (PC): solo today; multiplayer next https://lnkd.in/gNM9uDHE
 • Fortnite: enter code 7078-0288-7446 https://lnkd.in/gg2ccJ93
 • Meta Horizon Worlds: VR hangout https://lnkd.in/gzA3NW4r
Give it 5 minutes and tell me one thing you’d add.

Ok something seriously cool that you have to try out! Try pointing the brand new ChatGPT Agent at my new website https://ci.doi.bio and tell it that it can load a structure by typing "1erm" in the chat box and press enter. I built this whole website on the weekend in an hour after I heard the Agent announcement.

Here is a good prompt to try for ChatGPT Agent:

"Please look up the PDB id for a protein involved in antibiotic resistance to beta-lactamases. Then navigate to https://ci.doi.bio and type 'load 1erm' in the chat box where 1erm is the PDB id. Then press enter."

This is a whole new paradigm for including Agents in websites, websites specifically built for agents and that both you and the agent operate in a shared collaborative workspace!

This is inspired by my class in CSCW (Computer Supported Collaborative Work) with Dr. Margaret-Anne Storey at UVIC. Humans and agents collaborating in shared virtual workspaces!

EasyRTC is a bundle of Open Source WebRTC joy, incorporates an EasyRTC server install and client API, and working, HTML5 and Javascript, application source code under a BSD 2 license.

We've recently added commercially licensed Native WebRTC APIs that work with EasyRTC and potentially most other WebRTC gateways.

Advances in computer technology have enabled the collection, digitization, and automated processing of huge archives of bioacoustic sound. Many of the tools previously used in bioacoustics research work well with small to medium-sized audio collections, but are challenged when processing large collections ranging from tens of terabytes to petabyte size. The Orchive is a system that assists researchers to listen to, view, annotate and run advanced audio feature extraction and machine learning algorithms on large bioacoustic archives. Annotation is one of the biggest challenges in our work. In this paper, we describe our efforts to utilize experts as well as citizen scientists to participate in the process of annotating recordings. The Orchive contains over 23,000 hours of orca vocalizations collected over the course of 30 years, and represents one of the largest continuous collections of bioacoustic recordings in the world. Manual annotation is practically impossible and therefore we investigate the effectiveness of a semi-automatic approach for extracting information from these recordings, and show various experimental results. Finally we have been able to apply our automatic analysis over the a large portion of the archive and describe the computational resources required. To the best of our knowledge this is the largest archive of bioacoustic data that has even been automatically analyzed.

Disclosed herein are method, system and device embodiments for setting up a graphical user interface (GUI) for a commerce architecture. An embodiment operates by providing a GUI that displays a first button for adding a first data source and a second button for adding a second data source, the second data source being related to the first data source, receiving a first response via the first button to add the first data source and a second response via the second button to add the second data source, providing a view of a first data schema and a second data schema, wherein the first data schema includes at least one object from the first or the second data source, and wherein the second data schema is a canonical data model, mapping the at least one object of the first data schema to at least one object of the second data schema, and providing a single entity view of the at least one object of the second data schema.
